What I thought would be a place to rest while waiting for the smoke to clear in California has become so much more. As soon as I arrived, it felt like an old friend welcoming me home. I was drawn in by the incredibly beautiful, undeveloped, rugged coast and its miles of hiking trails, campfires on the beach, Harris Beach and Loeb State Parks, pristine rivers, Whaleshead, wildlife (pelicans, otters, whales, cougars, osprey, eagles...), and tHE sALTY dOG cOFFEE bAR (especially the owners, Carla and Craig). I'm going to stay awhile.
